Chalk prevalence

You could get the impression that all is not well in the Shoeburyness camp. Cllr Anne Chalk writes the occasional blog post that is best filed under ‘interesting’. Her latest (The truth will prevail) is about Cllr Mike Assenheim (Independent Group) and former Conservative councillor Roger Hadley.

Anne writes: I don’t have any plausible explanation for this chummy relationship, but for those who look at my blog I wish to say that Nick Ward and myself are working hard to expel Tories like Roger Hadley and give the residents of Shoebury a true voice on the council.

I think this criticism of her fellow Independent Group is puzzling, especially when you consider the rumours about Anne.

It would seem that working with Tories is only acceptable for some in Anne’s eyes.

  1. I now see that Anne has deleted this post. I should have made a screen grab.
