Mendip and Treecott Residents Association

I had thought there were no residents associations in Blenheim Park ward, I was wrong. I have lived in the ward since 2006 (and in the old Blenheim ward from 1985 to 1994). I was unaware that part of the ward was covered by the Mendip and Treecott Residents Association. In my defence this is not a part of the ward that I reside in (and which I still believe is not covered by a similar organisation).
I was made aware of this by an entry in James Courtenay’s blog – yes Tories occasionally have their uses!
The MTRA is covered by an umbrella organisation: Southend Tenants and Residents Federation. This appears to cover only those parts of Southend-on-Sea where there is social housing and does not include, for instance, the RAs in that cover Chalkwell or Westborough wards.
More and more people are saying that to me in Blenheim Julian – I’m actually doing stuff for people and they can even “forgive” me for wearing the blue rosette!!
Come over to my blog and give me your thoughts on this….http://jamescourtenay.wordpress.com/2011/08/19/development-control/
