Oh just look! Is that a flock of flying pigs I just saw? Neither the Labour Party nor the Tories
Will be able to do much about The price of energy simply because we have to have it!
We can’t just say to the suppliers, ” stick your energy up your jumper”. because they would !
Energy is a much needed commodity and will become more so in the coming years, Sadly
The suppliers know this only too well,
Should the whole of Europe act in unison – which they won’t – we may stand a small
Chance of getting the price to stabilise,
Ed’s plan is a gallant one but the outcome, is so unpredictable, that we should already be considering how we can reduce our total – individual -necessity – of the gas and electric we
We must turn that light off. Burning away in the hall, we must fill the kettle up with just the
Amount of water needed, etc. This done – accumulatively – across The whole of the consumer
World would cause a noticeable reduction on our bill’s and therefore keep the price down!
We, in our family, have started to do so already, and it is surprising how much you can do in the dark, it may not seem much. But we come back to that word – accumulatively – it all adds up
In the size of our consumer bills,
Of course, those who are rolling in wealth need not worry about such matters, their lights will
Be blazing away. But for those of us with no such wealth – ie the vast majority of us – will
Have to be practical with the reality,
Ed – at least- has noted what needs to be done, lets hope he can get his plan into action, but
This would depend on Labour winning the next election. And so it may be left for US to know
What NEEDS to be done,
‘This done – accumulatively – across The whole of the consumer
World would cause a noticeable reduction on our bill’s and therefore keep the price down!’
I agree here. we all need to think of need before greed. The Tory and rich boy philosophy is quite the opposite and look at the mess the UK is in because of that. However, I noticed that when energy saving light bulbs came in, with 20% of the use of old light bulbs, bills seemed to go up anyway, and I feel now this is because the leccy companies feared losing profits so though we saved on energy, they just put the prices up. We use less, they charge more! They profit whatever we do. If Labour get in, straightaway there will be talk of renationalising everything, and if they tinker around the edges, nothing is going to change.
Oh, and one more thing; how many pensioners are going to die this year? If this was poor people in Iraq or Somalia, etc, would the Middle class concerned lefties be up in arms and writing to their MPs and marching endlessly around London with placards? Poor pensioners dying here is not trendy enough it seems.
