June and July’s by-election summary
September 2, 2013 1 Comment
Forty-six contests in June and July. UKIP continue to outperform the Liberal Democrats in terms of vote share, but are still some way behind when it comes to fielding candidates and actually winning seats. Labour regain the top spot, but this is down to the seats contested, although national polling also shows them ahead of all other parties.
The Liberal Democrat vote share is the lowest in eighteen months (and possibly longer), but the caveat about these elections not being a representative snapshot apply.
