In Touch in St Laurence, summer edition – the sun shines on the shop signs, etc

Hey, perhaps I am fussy, but any sentence that has ‘support’ in it three times needs to be changed. Still, being articulate in the written sense has eluded the St Laurence Conservatives for some time. It is not about being picky though; sometimes poorly constructed prose can not only evade all attempts at discovering any sense, it can also be ambiguous. Ah, ambiguousness, the resort of those who sincerely want to be all things to all men.
Speaking of ambiguity, I am still a little perplexed at how Mark and Adam can vote through a budget that condemns many libraries and then come out as champions for their local amenity. Have they no shame?
They also boast of a “priority promise … proudly delivered”. A little uncertain which of their promises were not a priority, I encourage Mark and Adam to cast a little light here. Still, knowing the misery that is parking in Southend-on-Sea I guess they are entitled to milk the applause on this one. But, these additional parking spaces they have played such a magnificent role in creating – where are they to be built? Has any greenery been sacrificed in their attempt to hoover up support in neighbouring streets?
As I ponder this I smile at the thought of the doubtless delight Cllr Jones delivers to female palindromists in his ward. He knocks, he waits, the door opens; he announces “Madam, I’m Adam”.
Never has so much, etc, etc.
I now hope that someone gives me the Barling Magna Parish Gazette so that I read the further adventures of Councillor Adam.
