The silliness continues ….
Cllrs Cox and Holdcroft are persisting in their lies about me.
This is what Cllr Holdcroft wrote (12 February 2013 09:28)
Oh dear. Are you suggesting that the e mail that you circulated to all 50 of your fellow councillors criticising the efficient actions taken to avoid disruption, which was not confidential either by the nature of it’s content or by it’s label, was not your true view or was something that you did not wish communicated to those you represent? Do you support the action taken to prevent the town being subjected to these cruisers or not? I do not think that it is necessary for an effective ward councillor to live in the ward he or she represents but where, as in your case, you live some distance away there is a greater need to ensure that you are able to empathise with the concerns of those you represent – something which in this case you have clearly failed to do!

Let me get this straight – you are worried about a few wheel spins and the damage they may do to the tarmac on the esplanade, but are largely unmoved by the vandalism being visited on the area in the name of a Cliffs Museum.
I feel obliged to point out to everyone that you are one-third of the representatives for Milton, and whilst I don’t doubt Maria shares your views I regretfully admit that I do not.
I think we should encourage cruises. I accept that they must be properly organised, but it is about time this town thought about its young people.

I have not reproduced other emails, unlike Cllr Holdcroft I do hold the view that these should not be published without the express consent of the sender.
Now, does anyone believe I am guilty as charged by these two Tories?
(For the record, I live somewhere between fifteen and twenty minutes walk from Milton ward, just under a mile by my reckoning.)

Shakespeares quote springs to mind “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” (modern day literal meaning as opposed ot original Shakesperean).
It is absolutley clear what the intention of your emails were, as I have previously said this is mischief making by people who should know better. You clearly made you point in the first mail especially as you used the word “cautiously” (Mr Holdcroft as a solicitor should appreciate that caveat). On the second email if you read it once you could miscontrue its meaning but upon rereading without prejudice you can clearly see what you are talking about.
southend council and all of its so called council members have no idea how hard it is for a small business to survive in southend, they sit in their expensive homes and complain and lay down agendas that they really know nothing about. I have a small cafe business along Southend Seafront that relies on the cruises and also the airshow to pay our overpriced leases to the fat cats that is Southend Council. My business has lost so much money over the stopping of the cruises that we may be forced to go bankcrupt or if we can sell our business and now the only other event that brings in over half a million pounds to the town some idiot on Southend council is stopping that , I refer to the airshow, Southend council will only save 133,000.00 by scrapping the airshow, but gives out more than that each week in housing benefit to fraud cheats and foreigners that steal from the elderly in Southend High Street . I know I am not alone in my feelings for the council that is trying to close this town down (well at least trying to close all small business premises in Southend) and I will also be talking to the Echo along with other business owners about the unfair and blatently distructive attitude of Southend Councilors……you are all a waste of time and money , maybe to save 133,000.00 you should rid southend council of 2-3 members who sit on their fat backsides all day doing nothing and letting small businesses try to make a living and keep Southend a place for day trippers and families to come to like it used to be , aplace that attracted thousands and where there was no over priced car parking and where a place was clean due to proper bin collections and where people in the age bracket of 20-55 could cruise there cars at night and locals used to come out to watch and enjoy. Cruising is not youngsters tearing up and down roads, the youngsters cannot afford the cars or insurance its people who are passionate about their hobby, Southend Council is only passionate about one thing and thats smashing peoples dreams and destroying a town that was once loved and had respect from its locals now its a drug ridden town with dirty streets and people mugging elderly and a beneifit town with people with no pride and a council thats not worth voting for. Its about time Southend Council was bought to task and made Southend a town to be proud of once more instead of ashamed to say ””I LIVE IN SOUTHEND””
So Southend Council get up off your bums and do some work for a change and give us our seafront cruises back and our airshow and decent priced parking and clean streets with decent waste collections and get rid of the benefit cheats (that will save millions a year) and get Southend back to what it was,
