Today’s visit to Practical Completion Handover Ceremony at the Valkyrie Road Primary Care Centre was an interesting one. There were some short speeches, the burial of a time capsule, and an opportunity to look around this new facility. I look forward to it being fully up and running.
I had some interesting conversation, especially about the shenanigans in Westborough ward and the various residents’ associations involved. It really is a soap opera all on its own.
I do not like delivering in the dark. I don’t like any campaigning in the dark, especially on my own. I was out this evening delivery some letters regarding the Police and Crime Commissioner election in a fortnight’s time. You cannot see clearly where you are walking, the door numbers are often invisible at night, and the addresses on the letters were barely readable even under a strong street lamp. I will keep saying this – it is a damned stupid idea to hold an election in the Autumn.
Hi Julian, I have taken the liberty of suggesting this be submitted as our CPL press release, although I am sure they will fanny around and miss the boat.

Actually it is quite clever in a Tory kind of way. They will have the postal voters rounded up weeks ago and they can rely on their voters to turn out in any conditions.
My remarks have been posted on the wrong item, I refer to the Police Commissioner Elections.
I had wondered whether that was the case.
