Reference to the possible reduction in the fire crews (service), i saw a programme on TV where the fire crews also have a person on the fire tender who is a fire man but this person has received additional training in first aid, is this something we should be looking at.
If this idea was extended to the fire service within the uk, then possible any person who has been involved in the fire could be helped before the ambulance crews arrive.
This could also be a means of retaining the whole of the fire service (free from cuts)
It sounds a sensible enough idea to me.
