Bonchurch by-election announced

Ordinarily a vacancy on Leigh Town Council does not warrant that much attention. I say ordinarily as I have been informally told that a by-election has been triggered by English Democrat and National Front interest.
Anti-fascists in Leigh-on-Sea please be aware – do not allow either of these insidious parties a toe-hold in my corner of Essex.

Are Labour putting forward a candidate?
This has been the subject of some debate over the years. I have wanted to, and I have been in a minority in Southend West.
There is an on-going debate as we speak regarding this by-election. I will report the outcome when it is known.
Cheers Julian. I really think you should. At Maidenhead, we’ve started deliberately putting people forward for town and parish councils, in an effort to gain a beachhead in local government to start fighting our way in. I think we have the chair of two parish councils, at the moment.
I think the presence of the far right will see us put up a candidate, but I cannot confirm anything at the moment.

Presumably it’s for the same reason we are, but it’s more than a little chilling to see racist parties like the BNP pursuing those tactics.
What a relief to finally hear of the English democrats arriving in Southend, can you please post up contact details for them because like you say the nf need beating and after looking at there website i feel these are the ones to do it and indeed might offer a better choice other than the three headed monster, i would ike to thank you for pushing democracy and will encourage mu BF to vote for you in Milton but this will probably be a tough one if there is a ED candidate but i wish you well anyway.
The English Democrats in Southend are just the BNP re-badged. I suggest you use an Internet search engine to find them. There is very little difference between them and the National Front and would recommend you voting for anyone but them.
