Next steps for Labour

This evening I attended the Progressive London public meeting, entitled ‘Next Steps for Labour’. This was chaired by Joy Johnson, and the speakers were Billy Hayes (Communication Workers Union), Mehdi Hassan (New Statesman), Chris McLaughlin (Tribune), Lisa Nandy MP, Emily Thornberry MP, and Ken Livingstone.
Held at Congress House, this very well attended meeting covered a number of topics, including the Labour leadership, internal party democracy, the sell-out by the Liberal Democrats, the importance of trade unions to the Labour movement, and grassroots campaigning.

the bearded bloke on the other side of the room was myself, shame i didn’t know you were going as i would have liked to have a chat
I am going to the Progress conference this Saturday, and to the Compass conference on June 12th. If you are going to either of these give me a call on 07989 564743.
i probably won’t decide on Progress until saturday morning, but i’ll certainly be in touch if i make it, thanks
sad, the Tories have taken my job so my weekend will be spent applying for a job. i hope we can meet up and talk politics some time before too long.
Best wishes
