Castle Point are stuck with me

Susan Press, in the guise of Grimmerupnorth, alerts me to a decision that I was unaware of (NEC gets it wrong on PPC selections).

I genuinely have no intention to move seats but do admit to wondering about the possibilities. I have been Castle Point’s candidate for two years and it would look like the worst sort of opportunism to suddenly pop up elsewhere. We do live in extraordinary political times and it is possible that a large number of winnable seats will suddenly become available.

I am not part of any inner circle and am certainly no career politico. I thought the selections were meant to have been timetabled in such a way that the most winnable came up first, giving everyone an equal chance of going for them. The expenses fiasco has thrown this into disarray, with good seats now being selected after ones where we are third. I have no solution to this, but wonder whether those of us who have greater loyalty to the Labour cause than to our own careers will get any recognition.
