I would like some credit

Is it churlish of me to complain that the above story was given to the Evening Echo by me, and I do not even get a mention? This is not the first time this has happened. Their reporter telephoned me for the contact details of the aggrieved resident, told me it was a good story, and promised to use my quotes. Hmmmmm …..

Interesting alternative view in the comments section. Rather goes to show. One mans meat, another mans poison.
It’s also an illustration of much of what a councillor has to do help local residents. The things that upset people the most are often things of this nature rather than the big issues of the day. It’s one of the ironies of politics that fewer people vote in local elections than national ones. Often the items at the top of peoples wish lists are matters of district or county council.
I am pleased to see that this matter was resolved. I hope that life also improves for the gentleman who preferred having a neighbour with an untamed garden to his current situation.
